Chapter 471 The Last Corner of the Christmas Chapter
Chapter 471 The Last Corner of the Christmas Chapter
Everyone has their own way of celebrating Christmas.
Some people are cynical and sarcastic even in their glamorous lives, while others are content and happy even in their struggles and hardships. And some unlucky people are cynical and sarcastic even in their struggles and hardships.
Ron is gone.
After a big argument, he left, becoming one of those who disappeared without a trace.
Sadorine, who used to be comforted, is now the one who holds Hermione and shares her sadness and tears.
"Don't be too sad, Hermione," Sadorine gently patted Hermione, who was burying her face in her arms and crying. "He will come back eventually, he will figure it out."
These comforts were the situation Hermione wanted, and precisely because she wanted them but didn't have them, they not only failed to comfort her but also stirred up a lot of sadness and frustration in Hermione.
"He's gone! He's gone!" Hermione cried and complained. "I understand his sadness, but everyone is sad right now! Why did he have to throw such a tantrum! To leave at a time like this!"
The complaint was almost a roar. Harry, who was outside the tent, heard it. He hesitated for a while outside the curtain, carrying a large bird that had been plucked and given some basic treatment, but ultimately did not go in. Instead, he took his lunch and returned to the glacier.
Harry squatted by the lake, staring blankly at the indistinct reflection on the water's surface.
Ron's final argument and departure dealt a heavy blow to him and Hermione. He increasingly felt that those deaths and disappearances were related to him, and he was even more worried about Sirius, who had disappeared without a trace.
After the engagement party, fearing that Bella would find out the location of the Black family's private property, they continued to wander. About a month later, Dobby found them. His little hands and feet were wrapped in bandages, but he was fine. However, he knew nothing about Sirius Black.
Dobby said he and Sirius were imprisoned separately. His fiancée saw him from time to time that day, and some people hung him up and tortured him, but those injuries were practically nothing to him. Then they suddenly released him and told him that if he cared about Sirius's life or death, he must deliver a letter to Harry.
This was actually a very important matter to consider, because no one knew if there was any location magic on the letter. But the house-elf was simple-minded, and Dobby didn't think that much about it. He was only concerned about Harry's godfather's safety, so he tried every means to find Harry.
The letter arrived, and they risked opening the envelope, only to find it completely blank.
This blank space startled them, and they thought it was some kind of trap. They lost their letter and moved to several different places, continuing their wandering.
Dobby wasn't with them; Harry asked him to go to Russia to find Dmitri and bring Sadorine away.
"Hasn't it been resolved yet?"
Another figure appeared on the lake. It was Sadorine. She was wearing the simple, easy-to-move clothes that Hermione had brought, yet she was still strikingly beautiful. Her face was so unique, with an exotic charm that wasn't overly prominent. It was as if she had borrowed the most beautiful features from various ethnic groups and combined them together in an extremely clever way.
“Almost there,” Harry glanced at the bird, then immediately looked down and pretended to pick it up from the rock by the river. “Thank you, Sadorine, for getting the snake to bring us food. My Parseltongue couldn’t do that.”
“I will always be grateful to you,” Sadorine said softly as she knelt down next to Harry. “You brought me out of hell and were so kind as to build me the ladder to heaven.”
Harry blushed slightly, feeling a little uncomfortable with this level of gratitude. He couldn't help but miss Ron more; there would never be such excessive formality between them.
Oh, Ron.
"How is Hermione?" Harry asked, changing the subject by putting the bird back into the lake.
“She wants to be alone.” After saying that, Sadolin put the locket hanging around her neck to her mouth and started biting it.
Ron left, leaving three of them. Originally, each person was supposed to have one Horcrux, but he and Hermione started arguing, and then they tried to put all three Horcruxes on one person. Harry was the first to do so and almost broke down.
After several attempts, they found that Sadorine was only slightly affected by it, to the point of being negligible, so they put all the Horcruxes on her. Sadorine kept trying to bite them.
“Breaking this thing is a difficult feat,” Harry said tactfully. “You don’t need to think too much about making a contribution, Sadoreen. We all know it’s not an easy thing to do.”
"Hmm..." Sadolin obediently put down the locket, thinking that she should try again.
She could hardly remember her dark life at Hogwarts as a basilisk, but she learned from Harry that the first Horcrux was destroyed next to the basilisk, and Sadorine instinctively felt that she was capable of destroying Horcruxes.
We shouldn't say 'she,' we should say basilisk.
Just as Della made her eyes no longer lethal, she also underwent what could be described as a 'deterioration' transformation of various parts of the basilisk. The most obvious change was that all the poison in her body was gone, and the density of her bones and muscles was reduced to the level of a 'human'.
This transformation, which made her harmless, stemmed from Della's care for her and others. This deterioration shows that Della never intended to use her, and also to minimize the harm others might suffer from her.
Of course, there are also downsides to the degradation. The most obvious one is that Maggie used to be able to control the harmless Sadorine at will, but now she has lost the ability to deal with troublesome items.
“Oh, right, you might have to stay in the tent alone for a while tonight,” Harry suddenly said. “I’m thinking of going to Godric’s Hollow. Hermione will probably come with me, and I’d love to take you with me too, but the Horcruxes, the Horcruxes that are all on you, are too important…”
"I understand." Sadolin nodded, smiling gently, without any other emotion. She never wanted to make things difficult for others.
Harry felt relieved and smiled at Sadorine.
