Chapter 10 The First Birth of the Golden Crow's Consciousness in Sunlight
Chapter 10 The First Birth of the Golden Crow's Consciousness in Sunlight
Visualize your body continuing down the spine, through the Jade Pillow, and then into the Niwan Palace.
However, Chen Chunan's expression changed drastically upon re-entering the Niwan Palace.
The once bright and clear moon is now completely dark and devoid of any light.
Yin energy permeated the entire Niwan Palace like water.
Outwardly, this manifested in Chen Chunan's lifelessness, even though he was sitting on the stone.
If the red line were to be seen, it would probably scare them so much they would cry their eyes out.
This was entirely Chen Chunan's half-baked, half-understanding, and haphazard practice.
The Jade Rabbit is a point of true yang in the phase of the moon. The visualized body is transformed from the mind and spirit, and is actually the master of the Niwan Palace. The master brings out a point of true yang and acts recklessly. How can the Niwan Palace not be eroded by true yin?
What does the internal alchemy method do? It is to refine away all yin impurities and transform into pure yang!
If it weren't for the fact that nine years of Qi cultivation had truly strengthened his physique and spirit, he would probably have died and perished by now.
At this moment, Chen Chunan, completely unaware that he had already walked through the gates of hell, was still muttering to himself:
"The dirty caves and streams of Kanyuan Mountain are all in the Niwan Palace! I remember now, the Cantongqi says: Moreover, the most important thing for the present body is the heart and mind, Yin and Yang are matched with the sun and moon, and water and fire are the signs."
The original meaning of Journey to the West states, "Hooking the moon in the sky with both hands," refers to the waxing crescent moon, which is yin within yang, symbolizing the hexagram Kan; the waning crescent moon is the waning crescent, which is yang within yin, symbolizing the hexagram Li. When the essence of the two crescents is combined, the hexagrams Qian and Kun are formed. This is a matter of the Dharma body, and its secrets cannot be fathomed by those who make a living in filth.
This method affects the body! It has absolutely nothing to do with the kidneys! Nor with the five internal organs!
The Dharma body needs to be transformed from the acquired to the innate. In the acquired Bagua, Kan is in the north and Li is in the south. Taking Kan to fill Li, water and fire in harmony, we return to the innate state and combine it with the innate Bagua, so that Kan is in the west and Li is in the east.
The internal alchemy method emphasizes the cultivation of both body and mind. This time, apart from the dirty water cave, everything was carried out in the Niwan Palace.
The purpose is to refine the yin impurities into pure yang, which is the cultivation of one's nature.
The ultimate goal is to enable the consciousness (also known as the yin spirit) transformed from the Dharma body (visualized body) to acquire a bit of pure yang, laying the foundation for its future transformation into a yang spirit.
This step is about building the foundation for the Dao, not about refining essence into qi!
Wrong, completely wrong!
There's absolutely no need to disturb the Yang Qi of the heart and lungs or the Yin Qi of the liver and kidneys!
All you need to do is act on the Dharma body; I was just blinded by the appearance of the yin-yang symbol!
But I've already taken the Jade Rabbit, and the moon phase is now purely Yin. It seems I have no choice but to try anything, even if it seems hopeless!
With a thought, Chen Chunan visualized his body, which was formed from the power of the fire in his Niwan Palace, and slowly gathered the flames around it into the great axe in his hand. His firm desire to subdue Bajie and eliminate his desires transformed into the axe blade.
Chen Chunan raised his giant axe high and swung it down from above.
Chaos dissipated, and the world gradually brightened.
As Chen Chunan watched the yin energy dissipate and the yang energy gradually emerge, a sudden inspiration struck him.
He threw the giant axe in his hand, visualizing himself absorbing the gradually growing yang energy to refine the yin energy on his body, transforming himself into the sun and hanging in the air to burn away all the yin energy.
The great axe, now free from the control of the visualized body, once again transforms into the jade rabbit, which is now entangled in desires. However, under the influence of these desires, the jade rabbit is turning into a black rabbit.
As soon as it landed, it ran towards the sun in the sky.
But with the sun hanging in the sky, how could a jade rabbit running on the ground possibly get up there?
The Jade Rabbit seemed to understand as well, and its form transformed into a black raven with three legs.
It flapped its wings and flew towards the sun.
Sitting on the large blue stone, Chen Chunan had completely lost his life and was now full of vitality.
"The mission is accomplished?"
Chen Chunan felt a sudden weakness in his mind and body, and was forced to leave the Niwan Palace and fell into a deep sleep.
A new consciousness slowly condensed and took shape while Chen Chunan was in a coma.
...
When Chen Chunan woke up again, he found himself lying in his own bed.
"Did I faint?"
Just as I was about to get up, I found a little girl sleeping soundly next to me. Who else could it be but Hongxian?
However, the tear stains on her face were still visible, indicating that she had worried a lot.
Chen Chunan felt guilty and carefully prepared to get up without disturbing her.
Although the red thread only has the fifth level of Qi Refining and its divine sense has not yet developed, its perception is astonishing.
Chen Chunan's movement startled her awake.
When Hongxian saw her brother wake up, her lips trembled, her eyes reddened, and she instantly threw herself into Chen Chunan's arms, her tears soaking Chen Chunan's clothes.
"Brother, what happened to you? I... I looked everywhere for you and found you collapsed on a rock by the lake, not breathing at all. I called you no matter what, but you wouldn't wake up. I was so worried about you~"
Chen Chunan quickly comforted her, "Hongxian, don't cry, Hongxian, don't cry. Brother is fine. He was just too tired from cultivation and fell asleep. It's alright, it's alright."
"Really?" The red thread in her arms revealed its red eyes, making it look pitiful.
Chen Chunan affirmed, "Of course it's true. You know that your brother isn't very talented, so he has to work harder than others. He just didn't manage to work out properly and that's why he fell asleep from exhaustion."
The red thread that had just been so worried in her arms suddenly puffed up with anger: "Then you're not allowed to do that again! You're as heavy as a dead pig, I can't carry you anymore."
It would be a lie to say that he couldn't carry it. Chen Chunan's consciousness is gradually developing, and his three treasures are firmly established, so he will only feel light and light.
Moreover, although Hongxian is young, she is already a Qi Refining Level 5 cultivator, and she could carry even ten Chen Chunans on her back.
The red thread was simply a sign of dissatisfaction with her brother's lack of care for his health.
Chen Chunan quickly assured him, "Brother will never do it again. This time, we are so grateful for the red thread, otherwise you would have been seriously injured from the cold."
Hongxian was relieved, but crying her heart out was indeed exhausting.
He finished his meditation at midnight and continued practicing at dawn. After finishing his meditation, he didn't sleep and went everywhere looking for his brother.
The little girl couldn't resist her sleepiness and changed into a comfortable position, falling asleep right in Chen Chunan's arms.
Seeing that his younger sister fell asleep quickly, Chen Chunan didn't dare to get up, afraid of waking her up again. He waited until he felt that her breathing was even and that she was sleeping deeply before gently putting her on the bed and pulling the blanket over her.
He then tiptoed out.
Chen Chunan can now enter the Niwan Palace without having to empty his mind.
Seeing the consciousness sitting cross-legged under the sun in the Niwan Palace, Chen Chunan felt joy.
Now that his consciousness has been generated, he understands what it means to cultivate both body and mind. From now on, he will simply follow the steps to refine the golden elixir.
However, yesterday, when he used the five elements of spiritual power in his dantian to create the Five Finger Mountain to suppress his restless mind, Chen Chunan had a new idea.
The Qi of the Five Elements should originally be the Qi of the Five Internal Organs. The Five Qi are formless and intangible, and refining the Five Qi belongs to the category of life cultivation.
The five elements spiritual energy that Chen Chunan cultivated was also formless and intangible; in truth, it was a matter of life force.
That is why it was able to become the Five Elements Mountain to suppress the formless and intangible Mind Monkey, which belonged to the innate true nature.
Humans are spiritual roots, which are the golden elixir. How is this golden elixir forged? Naturally, it is by gathering and reversing the five elements and using them. The human body is a tangible substance, belonging to destiny.
Using one's life force to control one's nature, and using one's nature to practice, falls under the category of cultivating both life force and nature.
Previously, I might have thought that I couldn't regulate the Qi of the five internal organs, but now, using the spiritual Qi of the five elements, it is effortless.
Perhaps it won't be long before I cultivate a bit of pure Yang energy through my own life-saving practices.
Now that my yin spirit has arisen, my desires are beginning to subside.
With the three treasures of essence, energy, and spirit becoming increasingly stable, it's time to begin gathering herbs and truly refining essence into energy.
The poem in the Wuzhen Pian says:
To know the origin of medicinal herbs, just look for your hometown in the southwest.
Lead, when it encounters Gui (癸), must be harvested quickly; gold, when it encounters Wang (望), is not worth tasting.
The earthen cauldron was sealed securely, and the next pearl was placed in the flowing water to be matched with it.
The medicine weighs one pound and requires two-eighths; the heat must be adjusted to support yin and yang.
Lead is the primordial essence, Ren water, and Kan yang. In Taoism, lead is called lead or Azure Dragon. It corresponds to the kidney among the five internal organs. The primordial essence is the essence that is about to be generated but has not yet been generated. This essence is generated by Hai and transforms into Gui.
It needs to be collected at the moment when Yin is at its extreme and Yang is about to sprout, when it enters the liver, belongs to wood and is called the Azure Dragon. Otherwise, it will transform into kidney water and become acquired turbid essence, which will be unusable.
The Golden Qi in the lungs is actually the Yin of the heart, called the White Tiger. The 15th or 16th of each month is the day of the full moon. This Golden Qi must be collected before this time and then placed in an earthen cauldron, which is the location of the middle dantian.
Today happens to be the 15th of August, and I only have two days left. Why don't I try gathering some golden energy?
Although Chen Chunan only had a superficial understanding, he was incredibly bold. He dared to try it even though he didn't know how to cultivate the essence into qi.
Chen Chunan entered the quiet room, sat cross-legged, and began to focus his consciousness to try to absorb the true yang of Ren water.
Chen Chunan mobilized his spiritual power from his lower dantian (i.e., Benxiang, Yaochuanyuan) and channeled it along the Ren meridian into his middle dantian. When it passed the Heart Monkey, it caused the Heart Monkey to roar.
