"That's what the guy who brought us together calls me, but I like it. After all, justice doesn't save anyone most of the time."
"But my ironclad rule can."
Injustice Superman flicked the blood off his hands, his gaze sweeping over Jordan's protective stance towards Lois. A complex emotion flickered in his eyes, but it quickly returned to its cold, ruthless state.
"Why invade our universe?" Jonathan asked deliberately, tearing at the outer sheath of the wires as he stalled for time, believing that his real father would surely return to rescue them.
"Have we broken your ironclad rules?"
This was Louise's sarcasm; she had always been quite bold.
Unjust Superman was not angry.
"You want to know why I'm here?" He paused for a few seconds, then suddenly spoke, as if he were more patient when facing this family.
“I am not a butcher, nor an executioner. I am also a superman. There are other people who have come to your universe. We all come from different parallel universes.”
"It was a shared experience that brought us together—we recognized the threat that the outer universe was inflicting on the multiverse, and we successfully survived the attack."
"This made us powerful, and as a result, we were summoned by a leader to join the Supreme Alliance, the only one capable of saving the multiverse."
Injustice Superman's tone seemed somewhat uncertain, but he continued, "Every member of our alliance comes from a different parallel universe. There are heroes and villains. Everyone is a survivor and a lucky one. We responded to the multiverse's cry for help."
"Yes, that's right."
"The multiverse is calling for help from everyone. When the counterparts in different universes die, their power will be transferred to other counterparts. This is a choice that the multiverse itself is making."
"That's why we need to help it speed up this process, to gather the power of all our counterparts into ourselves, and to become the only existence that is multi-dimensional and unified."
Injustice revealed the purpose of his group's arrival in this world—they were actively reducing their number of counterparts and retaining the power and potential of their deceased counterparts within themselves.
Hear the words.
Louise's face turned deathly pale instantly.
"You're going to kill all the other heroes in the universe?"
Her expression was one of extreme terror.
"For a greater purpose, for life in all the multiverses, this is certainly a necessary sacrifice. You wouldn't understand, only the strongest Justice League can save our already precarious world. Only by concentrating the power of the multiverse on the strongest can the universe have any hope of resisting aggression."
For the first time, Injustice Superman's voice carried a distinct emotion. Clearly, in his view, a hero must acquire sufficient power to uphold hope.
"When you've seen the cancer I've seen, when you've lost everything I've lost, you'll know this is the only way." Injustice Superman firmly believes he's doing the right thing.
He is the "Unjust Superman".
An extreme enforcer who substitutes ironclad rules for morality. He believes that only by thoroughly eliminating those who are powerless to protect themselves and allowing the survival of the fittest to remain can the world truly be protected.
And the "Supreme Justice League" he mentioned.
It is an organization composed of the most powerful individuals from different universes. Each of them has experienced the destruction of their own world and survived in despair.
So they stopped believing in compromise, in negotiation, and in any weak means. They chose to become the reapers, the ultimate guardians of the multiverse.
It seems to have a very tough, heroic style.
but.
But it carries a hint of cruelty.
"This isn't right."
Louise's face grew paler and paler.
“If you wanted to kill us, you would have done it already. What are you waiting for?” Louise broke free from Jordan’s protection and stepped forward. She had to seize the opportunity to extract information.
This was the only thing she could do.
“It seems you still don’t understand. Only heroes are qualified to enter this competition and selection, and only the strongest individuals are qualified to save the world—if your Superman doesn’t want to die, he has to prove to me that he is stronger than me.” Injustice Superman said, his gaze sweeping over everyone present.
"Only if he proves to the Supreme Alliance that he can take my place in the Alliance, otherwise I will accept his power... and everything he possesses."
His voice grew even colder.
Louise's expression was filled with disbelief.
She finally understood why "Clark" hadn't killed her and her child.
Yourself!
There are still a few children!
All of these are potentially acceptable—heroic legacies!
“You are not a hero, you are killing innocent people, you will never win against my husband!” Louise shouted fiercely, her voice trembling with rage.
"perhaps?"
Superman remained noncommittal.
He ignored Louise's attitude and made no criticisms or mockery. He simply looked at Jonathan and the Flash who was being connected to the wire by Jonathan.
“You can’t save him. If he’s not the strongest Barry Allen, he’ll die eventually,” Injustice Superman said, admiring Jonathan’s persistence.
If his child hadn't died.
Perhaps it is like this.
“That’s something to consider later.” Jonathan had been listening to Injustice Superman’s previous statement, and he gritted his teeth, but he wasn’t swayed by Injustice Superman’s words.
“The problems we’ll face in the future are not a reason for me to stand by and watch someone die.” Jonathan tore at the electrical wires pulled from the wall, which sparked blue and red.
next moment.
Without hesitation, he pressed his hand against the Flash's chest.
"Crackling and popping!"
Barry Allen sprang up like a zombie, then crashed back to the ground, but his breathing did become more rapid—the Flash, whose entire body was fractured, was jolted awake by an electric current that surged into Barry's body. He abruptly opened his eyes and let out a sound that was somewhere between a scream and a groan.
His whole body began to convulse violently.
"I'm the Flash! Not a power bank!"
Barry Allen's voice even sounds quite powerful.
Jonathan quickly removed the power line.
“Welcome back to the world of the living, Uncle Barry. You should thank the Norse god Thor for his protection.” Jonathan put down the iron statue he was using for the “transfer”.
He patted The Flash on the shoulder, feeling that he might be considered a kind of miracle doctor. Injustice Superman's eyes twitched, and Lois and Jordan fell into an eerie silence.
Just when the atmosphere was delicate.
"boom!"
The dilapidated stairwell on the second floor suddenly exploded, scattering wood chips everywhere. A blonde girl, cursing, kicked open the twisted and deformed door and staggered to the broken stairwell.
"Damn it! Which bastard locked me in the closet?! I almost smashed my head open before I escaped!" Madison Montgomery rubbed the bruise on his forehead.
She had a bulging backpack slung over her back and was clutching Ian's other collections and possessions in her hands.
"Where am I?" Madison jumped down the broken staircase and rolled several times in the ruins, seemingly having learned this jumping technique from who-knows-where.
"Don't let me find out who it is!" Madison yelled as he rolled to dissipate the force, rolling directly in front of Louise, who then pinned him down before he stopped rolling.
"Who is she!?" Louise looked at her second son. If anyone in the family would kidnap a little girl, even if she didn't have a clear conscience, she could only suspect Jordan from Nightingale.
Feeling his mother's questioning gaze, Jordan, who hadn't panicked even when he was at odds with Injustice Superman, suddenly panicked and raised his hands to show his innocence.
"It has nothing to do with me! It's Ian! Ian kidnapped her classmate!" The second brother clearly didn't hesitate for a moment between betraying his family and being wrongly accused.
Before Louise could respond, Madison seemed to realize something and quickly spat out angrily, "I clearly came back with Ian on my own!"
"Don't even think about framing me. Ian is petty." Madison was clearly suffering from some kind of persecution complex. Well, that's true; no normal person would take a higher dose of medication than Ian.
"Can anyone tell me what happened? Did your gas explode?" Madison looked around at the ruins, his memory still stuck on the moment of his final battle with the Supreme Witch.
No one answered.
She had to find clues on her own, her gaze falling on the Injustice Superman in the moonlight. But the silhouette was all too familiar—a tall, imposing figure, a cloak billowing in the wind.
"Superman? Ian?"
Madison seems to still believe Ian's casual remarks from before.
"How many years have I been asleep?" She looked down at her unchanging body, then looked up at the Unjust Superman who was clearly twenty centimeters taller than Ian in her memory.
At this moment.
Madison suspected that Ian had hidden her in the closet after she passed out, mistaking her for Sleeping Beauty—that boy was really capable of such a thing.
Think of this.
Her face suddenly turned deathly pale.
"Wait a minute, while I was in a coma for the past few years, did my parents have another baby? Wouldn't that mean I've lost my status as the sole heir to the family fortune?" It has to be said that this astonishing line of thought really left Louise, who was already somewhat apprehensive, completely dumbfounded.
"Can't you be normal for once? That's the enemy!"
Jordan roared, unable to contain himself any longer.
He was already mentally unstable, and now he was under a lot of psychological pressure in the face of the crisis. When his anxiety disorder flared up, he naturally couldn't control his tone and voice at all.
Upon hearing Jordan say that he was the enemy, Madison's expression was visibly surprised; his preconceived notions were still at play. "Superman is the enemy? Isn't Superman Ian?"
She was stunned for a full two seconds.
immediately.
It dawned on me.
“I get it, Ian has finally been found out that he was switched at birth in the hospital, and he’s turned evil!” Madison had always felt that Ian’s appearance was not on the same level as Ian’s two older brothers.
This rather peculiar train of thought made Jordan and Jonathan both facepalm. Louise's expression was even more priceless—she never imagined her son would be out there posing as Superman and swindling people.
“Superman isn’t Ian,” Louise took a deep breath, unsure how to explain the situation to the girl who had suddenly appeared, “and this Superman isn’t the Superman you know either.”
“I understand, I understand. It seems to be a clone, a parallel universe, and I’ve created a version of myself that travels through time to kill me—Ian tells me all this in class every day.”
Madison still loved to pretend to be a learned man.
"Drip drop~"
Just then, the silent Injustice Superman stared at Madison for a long time, then a device appeared in his hand, pointing at Madison as he sounded the alarm.
A strange light flashed in Injustice Superman's eyes.
