Chapter 127 Another Day of Routine
Chapter 127 Another Day of Routine
When Draco and I got back to the dorm, the other two were already asleep, though whether they were really asleep was hard to say. I took a second look at Theodore Nott's bed.
I sent Draco to wash up first, and then I sat on the bed quietly watching Theodore Nott's bed.
"If you're not asleep, do you want to get up and chat with me?" I seemed to be talking to myself.
The dormitory was quiet. When Draco came out, I just smiled, grabbed my pajamas, and went to wash up.
The next day I got up early again and went to the kitchen. Surprisingly, I wasn't the only wizard there today.
The twins, Harry, Cedric, and Oliver all showed up here, and we all sat down at two tables that were pushed together.
"You're starting Quidditch training today?" After ordering what we needed for today, Mumu and I looked at the group of sleepy-looking people.
"Hmm~ Training starts today." Fred rested his head on one of my shoulders, still a little sleepy.
"Ayers, sleepy~" George also squinted and rested his head on my other shoulder.
I feel like I've become their human pillow, sleeping on one side of each of them.
"Do you need me to make you a bed so you can sleep a little longer?" I lifted the two heads up again to prevent them from sliding off.
“Only you, Ayers, spoil those two.” Oliver took the bowl of porridge and several large steamed buns that Mumu handed him.
“It’s been like this for years, you get used to it.” Cedric took his breakfast and ate it slowly.
“I’m actually quite envious.” Harry saw how I was taking care of Fred and George; his cousin at his aunt’s house didn’t even get that kind of treatment.
"Okay, wake up, Fred." I used a wet towel to wash Fred's face to wake him up, then wiped his hands clean and made him sit down to eat breakfast.
“You know what, even our mothers never treated us this well.” Fred finally came to his senses and started eating his breakfast.
"If Mrs. Weasley heard you talking about her like that, she'd beat you to a pulp." After getting George ready, we started eating breakfast.
“At least before Ron was born, we had this kind of treatment; after that, we had to figure things out ourselves,” George said while eating.
"Really?" Fred thought he had forgotten about that time.
"Ayers, do you want to come watch our Quidditch practice later?" Oliver knew that after I finished breakfast I would go to the classroom to wait, which seemed a bit boring, so he asked me if I wanted to watch their practice.
"It's not impossible." I'm quite free. I spent the past two years catching up on books, and now that Harry is reading, I'm surprisingly relaxed.
"Great, hurry up and finish eating, let's go train." Fred got excited when he heard I was going to watch them train, and quickly finished his breakfast.
"Harry, hurry up, we're about to leave." George also quickened his breakfast and prepared to go.
Oliver and Cedric, needless to say, ate earlier than Fred and George and quickly finished eating, then waited for the others who hadn't eaten yet.
"Come on, I'm just going to watch you guys train, what's all the excitement about?" I took a food box from Mumu and followed the others toward the Quidditch pitch.
The others understood each other without saying a word, except for Harry, who foolishly followed behind.
The weather is pretty good today. It seems like there aren't many people here so early. I'm the only one sitting in the viewing platform.
On one side of the enormous Quidditch pitch, the Hufflepuff team was warming up, while on the other side, the Gryffindor team was training.
Thankfully, it wasn't Gryffindor and Slytherin today, or they would have started fighting again.
I ate a fruit platter that Mumu had prepared for me while watching the two teams train.
“Ayers, I envy you being able to eat here.” Fred panted as he snatched a piece of watermelon from my fork.
“I want a cantaloupe,” George said, pointing to the cantaloupe in the bowl in my hand.
"Hurry back to your dorm and take a shower, Professor McGonagall's class is coming up." He forked a piece of cantaloupe and stuffed it into George's mouth.
“Me too.” Cedric pointed to the piece of apple I was eating.
"Ah~" I'm eating so deliciously, aren't I? I stuffed the half-eaten apple into Cedric's mouth.
Cedric savored it slowly, as if he were eating something particularly delicious, though it somehow had a dark, smoky flavor.
“Here, these are the last two pieces.” I gave one to Oliver and one to Harry.
Oliver ate calmly, while Harry blushed a little, as this was the first time in his life he had been fed like this.
"Let's go, you guys need to go back to your dorms and get yourselves ready. I'm going to class too." I packed up the food box Mumu had given me, and then left the Quidditch pitch with them.
I strolled leisurely up the stairs; there was still time to get to the classroom.
Unexpectedly, Draco's group also happened to be taking the same stairs.
"Good morning, juniors." Standing next to this group of people, I felt a little awkward, being so tall.
"Good morning, senior." The juniors who I scolded last night were all very well-behaved today.
"Hey juniors, what class are you going to?" I asked with a smile, but my eyes were fixed on Draco, who was walking at the front.
“It’s Charms, Senior Ayers,” Blaise Zabini, standing next to Draco, replied.
"Oh~ it seems I arrived first, so I'll take my leave now, fellow juniors."
After looking at Draco, I glanced at Theodore Nott, who was avoiding my gaze. It seems I really scared him last time.
I just smiled and then left the group of younger students to go to my classroom.
"That senior is really something else," Bress Zabini remarked as he watched me leave.
"What do you mean?" Draco asked, a little curious about the rumors about me.
“I heard this from an upperclassman. This senior, Ayers, is always first in his class at the end of the year, Professor Snape’s favorite student, and the only one who gets exemptions from homework from all his professors every year.” Blaise Zabini took out his notebook and read it aloud to his group.
"Is she that good?" Well, Pansy Perkinson now realizes she's offended a top student.
"This is just the surface. We still don't know what family that ring represents. I can feel a strong magical power emanating from it." Theodore Nott is one of the more powerful members of their group. If even he can sense the magical power, then my family must be extraordinary.
"For now, all we can do is wait and see." As the leader of the small group, Draco could only wait and see how things developed.
