Chapter 150 Fine Qualities
Chapter 150 Fine Qualities
"I can't believe I made so much money from just one Chunin Exam. I should do it a few more times." Uchiha Ye muttered to herself as she counted the money she had earned, her smile never stopping the whole way. The best part was that Itachi had given her his share, which made her even happier.
Uchiha Itachi stood quietly by, his eyes filled with tenderness.
Yamato chuckled to himself from time to time; he had never had so much money before, it felt like a dream.
Of the five teams from Konoha Village, only three members of their team became Chunin.
However, one must return to Konoha and be personally appointed by the Third Hokage to truly be considered a Chunin.
"Senior Jiraiya, could you please summon Boss Bunta to help us get back?" Uchiha Ye asked, his eyes wide and his hands clasped together, looking pitifully at Jiraiya.
Even though he had seen Jiraiya many times, he still couldn't stand this beauty overload. Uchiha Ye's body was developing very well. Although he was not as good as Tsunade, he was already quite well-developed.
Although it was completely covered, he could still see it with his eyesight.
However, he ultimately preferred Tsunade, and Jiraiya, clutching his itchy nose, resolutely refused.
"Jiraiya-senpai..." Uchiha Ye called out again in a coquettish tone.
Jiraiya immediately looked away, put down the scroll he had been carrying on his back, and opened it. "Sign your name and summon it yourself."
Uchiha Ye wrote his name on the scroll without hesitation.
Jiraiya regained his composure and put away the scroll. "I'll only teach you the summoning jutsu for toads once. Watch carefully."
Before he could finish speaking, Jiraiya slammed his hand on the ground. "Summoning Jutsu!"
"Jiraiya-senpai, is this a toad?" Uchiha Ye's lips twitched slightly, and he frowned as he looked at a small tadpole on the ground.
"Haha...mistake...mistake...but this is the process, try it yourself." Jiraiya scratched his head, his face full of embarrassment.
Uchiha Ye carefully placed the tadpole in his palm. "Jiraiya-senpai, it's freezing to death. Could you please take it back?"
“This is simple.” Jiraiya glanced at her palm, pulled up his sleeve, and drew a line of blood across the lines on his arm. “Reverse Summoning.”
As soon as the smoke cleared, the tadpoles in my palm disappeared.
"Summoning jutsu really drains your health!" Uchiha Ye thought to himself.
"Alright, you can practice here for a bit." Jiraiya seemed to have seen something that appealed to him, his eyes sparkling with hearts, and he left after saying those words.
Uchiha Ye looked towards where Jiraiya had gone and saw the two beautiful women. He instantly understood, "That's really Jiraiya's style."
"But aren't they cold dressed like that in this freezing weather?" she muttered to herself, turning her head back silently. Jiraiya's lecherous behavior was truly an eyesore. "One of the legendary Sannin!"
In her opinion, the cold and aloof Orochimaru-sensei was still more handsome, and Uchiha Ye would never admit to being biased.
"Oh...no, actually Tsunade is pretty good too." Who wouldn't like a soft, fragrant, and beautiful woman?
Getting back to the point, Uchiha Ye found a relatively open space and prepared to try to summon a toad. He only needed to summon one tadpole. "Her requirements are very low."
She would never bite her thumb to bleed and summon a spirit beast; just thinking about it hurt.
She had just taken out a kunai, preparing to lightly scratch her thumb, when she faintly heard intermittent sobbing sounds coming from beside her.
"????"
She was filled with questions. "In this freezing cold, with only one hotel standing not far away, how could someone be crying?"
"Could it be a female ghost?!" Uchiha Ye's throat bobbed, and he listened more carefully. "It sounds like a male ghost?"
"Should we go take a look?" she asked, her face full of hesitation. "What if this ghost is good-looking?"
"Just take a look! Just one look!" she encouraged herself, holding a kunai in front of her and moving her feet lightly, listening to the sound as she moved.
It took Uchiha Ye a full ten minutes to walk a distance of less than fifty meters.
She hid behind a large tree, peeking slightly towards the source of the sound.
In less than a second, she pulled her head back. "It looked like a white figure?"
She still couldn't see the details clearly, but it felt somewhat familiar. Uchiha Ye decided to take another look. This time she held on for three seconds, but then she saw a person with a pineapple-shaped hairstyle and a white windproof robe with red stripes. "Isn't that the Konoha windproof cloak uniform?"
"That shouldn't be a ghost?"
Upon realizing this, Uchiha Ye immediately felt relieved.
"But for a grown man to cry like that is just too pathetic!"
She wasn't planning to go out and comfort people, and she figured they probably didn't want anyone to know either, otherwise they wouldn't be hiding here crying.
Uchiha Yoh expressed his understanding and turned to leave to summon his summoning beast in another location.
As soon as she took a step, a clump of snow fell from above and hit her on the head.
"It's poisonous! How many times has this happened!" Uchiha Ye suddenly felt a sharp pain in her head, and she felt extremely frustrated. She shrank back, afraid that the person not far in front of her would notice her.
Five minutes passed, and after confirming that the person hadn't noticed her, she lifted her foot and walked back the way she came.
However, the footprints from before had long been buried by the falling snow. "It's such a short distance, I shouldn't get lost," Uchiha Ye said confidently.
Ten minutes later, she circled around and walked up to the person. "This works too!"
Uchiha Ye forced a stiff smile and said, "Hi...did I disturb you, Iruka?"
Iruka was visibly stunned when he saw the person who came, and he quickly wiped away the tears from the corners of his eyes, but the tears seemed to flow more and more and he couldn't stop them.
Holy crap, she didn't do anything!
I hope I'm not being scammed!
However, this was the first time she had ever seen a grown man cry like this.
Hmm... she looked pretty bad when she cried.
Uchiha Yoh stepped forward, took out a handkerchief, and handed it to him. "I think you might need this."
Iruka took the handkerchief in a daze, and after a long while, he finally said thank you.
"You're welcome."
"Did something happen to you?" Uchiha Ye asked from the side.
Seeing Iruka's hesitant expression, she continued, "It's okay if you don't want to say anything, just keep crying!"
She realized after she finished speaking, "Sorry, I'm not very good at comforting people."
"Um...cough cough..." She coughed lightly twice, "I...I mean, it's good to cry it out, it can relieve the suppressed emotions in your heart."
Seeing how hard she was trying to comfort him, Iruka's inner turmoil suddenly dissipated, and a smile appeared on his face. "Thank you."
"No need, no need, you already said that."
"Um... I'll just sit here. If you have something to say, I'm all ears." Uchiha Ye waved her hand, then added that she sat quietly to the side, studying the toad summoning technique that Jiraiya had taught her.
"How much chakra should I release?"
"All or half?"
"Should we add some spiritual energy?"
Her mouth opened and closed, but she didn't make a sound, so as not to disturb anyone. This was one of her admirable qualities; she was never dishonest.
