Chapter 254 Uncle is about to start hitting me from behind!
Chapter 254 Uncle is about to start hitting me from behind!
After the first timeout, neither coach made any substitutions, but the tactics on both sides clearly changed.
It's no longer about two superstars endlessly playing one-on-one, but about emphasizing teamwork, more passing and movement, and getting teammates involved in the game, rather than just being VIP spectators in the front row.
But as Lin Tian and Iverson started passing the ball, and as teammates from both sides joined the game, the Pacers' lead immediately began to widen!
There are two main reasons. First, the scoring ability of players like Carter, Christie, and Schmitz is definitely superior to that of players like Geiger, Ratliff, and Snow. The difference between the two teams in terms of their ability to seize and create opportunities is too great.
As for the other reason, it's the gap between Lin Tian and Iverson!
While Iverson's passing ability was good, he was by no means a top-tier playmaker. However, Lin Tian himself possessed the league's top-tier passing and vision, and now with the addition of Westbrook's powerful penetration and ability to tear apart defenses, the destructive power of his passes has risen to another level!
With these two factors combined, the score difference between the two sides widened rapidly in the latter half of the first quarter, to 39:30!
At the end of the first quarter, the Pacers had already built a 9-point lead!
At the start of the second quarter, Lin Tian and others rested on the bench, while on the court, the veteran Carter and the young Mullin led Ben Wallace, Hoiberg, and Davis in the battle.
As for Iverson, who had the most playing time in the league during the regular season, averaging 41.4 minutes per game, his playing time will definitely increase further in the playoffs, and he won't be resting at that time.
When the Pacers were without Lin Tian leading the team, Iverson's terrifying strength was immediately on full display!
His speed, scoring ability, penetration, and jump shot are absolutely unstoppable!
Iverson immediately launched a fast break, driving straight to the basket for a layup, while being slapped on the arm by Ben Wallace. After the basket, he instinctively shouted "2+1" again!
But the referee still ignored him.
After this experience, Iverson finally understood the biggest difference between the playoffs and the regular season.
The calls will be given during the regular season, but not during the playoffs.
The chances of getting to the free-throw line during the regular season are gone; the referees won't even blow the whistle then.
So, after this round, Iverson shut up completely.
In the following rounds, Iverson continued his good shooting touch, scoring repeatedly with drives to the basket and shots from outside. Neither Mullin nor Carter could keep up with Iverson's speed, and he would easily break through their defenses. Many times, they were unable to effectively interfere with Iverson.
Whether Iverson can make a shot depends almost entirely on his own touch!
Fortunately, Carter and Mullin were both accurate enough.
It was only after each player hit a three-pointer from the left and right that the 76ers were unable to catch up quickly. The score remained unchanged until four minutes into the second quarter, when the score was 41-45.
The score difference between the two sides is now only 4 points!
At this moment, Bird patted Lin Tian on the shoulder, signaling Lin Tian to come out and fight again!
Meanwhile, Bird replaced Davis and continued to play his lineup of one big man and four small men.
In this lineup, only Ben Wallace's registered height is 203 cm, but that's just the registered height.
Besides Ben Wallace, only the aging Mullin is over 2 meters tall among the other four Pacers players on the court; the rest are all under 2 meters tall.
On the 76ers' side, there are two tall players, Gaygues and Ratliff, both over 210 centimeters tall.
"Larry's going to use speed against height again! They're betting on their perimeter game once more! Let's see if the 76ers can capitalize on their inside advantage this time!" Kenny analyzed as soon as he saw the lineup on the court.
Barkley immediately shook his head in opposition.
"It's probably difficult for them to perform well. Neither of the 76ers' two big men are very offensive; they are both blue-collar players. Their strengths lie in rebounding and defense, but against the fierce Ben Wallace and Lin, who averaged more than 11 rebounds per game in the last 10 regular season games, it's uncertain whether they can capitalize on their rebounding advantage."
On the court, Lin Tian brought the ball to the frontcourt again. Ben Wallace immediately stepped forward and set a screen to block Iverson. Then Lin Tian drove into the paint, while Ben Wallace made a quick cut inside on the other side. The two 76ers big men unconsciously stepped up to try to block Lin Tian and Ben Wallace's attack.
Suddenly, Lin Tian's basketball slammed towards the floor, bounced once on the floor with a "thud," and then passed between Geiger's legs. This time, Geiger didn't even have time to turn around to look; he could only hear a loud "boom" behind him!
It's Carter again!
After a season of adjustment, Carter's ability to fast break, cut to the basket, and seize opportunities to attack the rim has improved tremendously. His cooperation with Lin Tian has also become increasingly refined and comfortable!
"Lin, you're too cowardly to face me? You're too cowardly to fight me one-on-one, are you? You don't dare to have a proper game with me, do you?" Iverson taunted Lin Tian as he dribbled the ball forward.
They actually used a pick and roll?
shameless!
"Come on, Allen, be more mature." Lin Tian lowered his center of gravity and didn't rush to put pressure on Iverson's defense, because he knew that with Iverson's ability, full-court pressure wouldn't be very effective. Instead, Iverson would easily get past him and find a scoring opportunity.
Therefore, when facing Iverson, Lin Tian mainly focused on defense, only suddenly stepping forward to press him when he saw a particularly good opportunity.
The best way to deal with Iverson is to wait until his physical strength declines and then take advantage of your height and weight!
There's no rush!
After Iverson arrived at the frontcourt, he performed a series of flashy and attractive dribbles, then with one hand he flicked and pushed the ball, sending it flying past Lin Tian's hand and straight to Geiger's hands in the paint!
But despite facing Ben Wallace's fierce defense, Gagg missed this close-range shot!
Ratliff originally wanted to take advantage of the Pacers' only interior player to contest Ben Wallace's shot and grab the offensive rebound himself, but before he could even get his footing, he suddenly felt another person in front of him!
Lin Tian!
After defending Iverson, this guy immediately rushed to the paint, got into position, and then jumped high, grabbing the rebound in front of Ratliff.
After landing, Lin Tian turned around instantly and launched another round of defensive counterattacks towards the front!
This time, Lin Tian's drive was extremely long, almost starting from under his own basket and sprinting across the entire court! So when he arrived outside the 76ers' three-point line, apart from the two big men, the other three players on the 76ers had already completed their defensive transition and were all inside their own three-point line!
"Come on, if you've got the guts, go for it again!" Iverson spread his long arms, showing no fear, and didn't forget to continue provoking Lin Tian.
"Come on then! It's not a big deal!" Lin Tian grinned, then paused briefly outside the three-point line to recover from the fatigue of his rapid sprint, before unleashing his full power again and dashing into the paint like lightning!
Iverson, Snow, and McGee quickly closed in, surrounding Lin Tian from three directions and trapping him in the center!
But Lin Tian seemed completely oblivious to the three people, showing no intention of slowing down. He didn't even make any changes of direction or other feints while dribbling; instead, he charged straight towards the basket!
Then, almost pressing against Hughes in front of him, he simply and forcefully pulled it up!
Hughes stared in disbelief at the monster in front of him who was practically flying and getting higher and higher. He was a top-tier, talented player with exceptional physical abilities, but at this moment, he couldn't jump at all. He was completely pinned down by Lin Tian.
Hughes could only instinctively raise his hands, making a gesture similar to covering his head in defense.
Lin Tian was in no mood to pay attention to what Hughes had done!
He leaped into the air, over Hughes, ignoring Iverson and Snow, and slammed the ball into the basket with one hand!
The moment he slammed the ball into the basket, due to his forward lean and Hughes's defensive posture, combined with inertia and the powerful impact, he was propelled to the basket.
Hughes actually lifted Lin Tian's lower body up!
In addition, Hughes subconsciously bent his legs and leaned his upper body back, so Lin Tian's legs actually stepped directly over Hughes's head!
"He did it! He did it!" Barkley roared excitedly again, shouting, "A high-flying dunk! My God! Lin actually did a leapfrog dunk in the playoffs!"
Kenny's mouth dropped open. "Has Lin always jumped this high? Has Lin always been this crazy? My God! I can't believe a 191cm tall player can dunk like that!"
"Replay! Let's watch the replay again! No, ten more times if you want!" Barkley excitedly instructed the game's director, "Replay it now! Let us watch it!"
The entire City Square stadium was now in a frenzy. They were shouting and celebrating. Lin Tian's dunk was absolutely spectacular!
That was a real hurdle-crossing dunk!
Lin Tian jumped right over Hughes' head!
Whether Hughes bent down or reached out to "help" Lin Tian is really not important at all!
Who cares about that!
Anyway, he flew over and scored with a dunk!
Lin Tian was actually quite startled! His lower body had been suddenly lifted, which slightly affected his balance. If he hadn't reacted quickly enough to grab the rim, he might have ended up falling flat on his face.
So Lin Tian hovered on the rim for a while this time, only letting go and landing after he was sure he was completely safe.
Then, listening to the cheers from the crowd, Lin Tian knew exactly what the fans were happy about.
I did fly over there just now!
Unlike his fans, Lin Tian is someone who always repays kindness.
He wouldn't do anything that completely disregards whether Hughes is helpful or not.
That's so unhygienic!
I really have to thank them for this!
So Lin Tian put one arm around Hughes' shoulder and patted him on the chest with the other, saying, "Thanks, brother. I couldn't have done that without you. It's my treat after the game tonight, you'll definitely come!"
Yes, our Lord Lin, a man from the capital, is indeed particular!
Hughes was deathly pale. He was filled with regret. He even felt that he should have just lay down on the floor!
After all, there are at least 80 to 100 people in this league who get dunked on. Even the four great centers, who are so good, have had times when they got dunked on badly.
Getting blocked by one person is nothing!
Someone could fly over and grab one...
Hughes believes that even if he retires right after today's game, fans will still remember him 30 years from now!
"Larry Hughes, the guy Lin dunked over!"
Hughes's mentality collapsed immediately.
Although Iverson kindly passed the ball to him, hoping he could make a comeback, Hughes' pull-up jumper was an airball!
Ben grabbed the basketball under the basket and then found Lin Tian again, who launched another counterattack!
This lineup is all about running! All about charging!
It's all about playing fast break offense against the 76ers!
This time, Lin Tian continued to drive into the paint, and after attracting multiple defenders from the 76ers, he suddenly made a behind-the-back pass to Carter, who was following up in the middle.
Carter grabbed the basketball with one hand and slammed it hard towards the basket!
"boom!"
After a loud bang, Carter placed his hands on his chest and twisted the throttle again!
The 76ers were on the verge of collapse after being overwhelmed by the Pacers' two fast breaks!
Fortunately, Iverson stepped up again at this moment. He charged into the paint once more and threw himself into the air even more fiercely. Then, he was slapped on the arm by Ben Wallace in mid-air!
"Snapped!"
A crisp sound rang out, and this time the referee finally blew his whistle!
"Hand foul, 2 free throws!"
Iverson, panting, slowly walked to the free-throw line and made both shots. Then the entire 76ers team quickly retreated on defense, not wanting to be caught on a Pacers fast break again.
This time, Lin Tian didn't rush to chase after Iverson and the 76ers. He wanted to combine speed with strategy to make his opponents despair!
The faster they retreated, the slower Lin Tian pushed. When his opponents had exhausted too much energy from this pointless defense and their concentration dropped, and they started to slack off, that was when Lin Tian would regain his speed and launch a rapid counterattack!
This time, Lin Tian rushed to the vicinity of the free-throw line, found Carter, and passed the ball out.
Carter received the ball and immediately pulled up for a three-pointer, but unfortunately he missed!
"Bang!"
As the clanging of metal was heard, Lin Tian and Ben Affleck appeared in the three-second zone with perfect coordination, one blocking Geiger and the other holding off Ratliff.
It's as if the 76ers' paint is their own backyard! This rebound didn't look like an offensive rebound at all; it looked more like they were grabbing a defensive rebound under their own basket!
Lin Tian blocked Geiger, jumped up, and slapped the basketball towards Ben Wallace with one hand in mid-air. Upon seeing this, Ben Wallace immediately jumped up, caught the basketball with both hands in mid-air, and then smashed it towards the basket!
"boom!"
"Outrageous! Absolutely outrageous!" Barkley exclaimed once again. "Two guys, just like that, doing fancy tricks under the 76ers' basket, and they actually made it! They just let someone grab the offensive rebound and score an alley-oop! The 76ers' two big men are absolutely terrible!"
"If it were you, what would you do, Charles?" Kenny steered the conversation toward Barkley.
"I'll catch the ball with one hand and dunk it straight away, that'll look cooler!" Barkley grinned.
Kenny rolled his eyes and said, "Who asked you that? I asked you, if you were the 76ers' center just now, what would you have done?"
"First of all, I won't let my paint area become like this; I won't let anyone block my way! And then, if anyone dares to play like that in front of me, sorry, I'll definitely give them a good beating! I'll let them know that some moves are off-limits, and some people are not to be trifled with!"
"What if Lin were on the opposing team? Would you still dare to do this?" Kenny grinned mischievously, continuing to set a trap for Barkley.
"What wouldn't I dare to do?" Barkley grumbled. "Sir Charles fears no one! He's always been the fiercest guy on the court! But I'm a clean player, and I've always abhorred dirty tricks and dirty play! I wouldn't do such a thing."
On the court, Larry Brown, with a cold expression, called a timeout.
At this moment, Larry Brown's eyes were gloomy, his face was ugly, and the corners of his mouth were almost turned up to his chin. The poor rebounding and weakness of the team's two inside players had really crossed Brown's bottom line!
How can someone be so soft-hearted?
Once his five players returned to the bench, Brown didn't say much, but directly said, "Troony, George, you two go in! As for you two, you don't need to play tonight, get some rest."
Brown looked at Geiger and Ratliff and immediately sentenced them to death.
"Coach, I..." The young Ratliff wanted to explain further.
But after saying only two words, he said he wasn't going down anymore.
"Snapped!"
Because Brown had angrily slammed the tactical board directly onto the floor!
"Do you really want me to just say it straight? You cowardly piece of trash! A 210cm piece of junk like you doesn't deserve to play. Even if I put a lump of pork belly on the court, it'd be tougher than you two bastards! Explanation? I don't need to hear your explanations!"
"You two cowards, get out of here! Get out of here right now! Fu XX! I've been giving you face, letting you sit on the bench and watch the game, and you still give me that crap?! Then just get off the field! Get out! Now! Immediately!"
"I don't need either of you tonight! Tonight, all I need is for you two to get out of here, so I don't throw up all the pizza I ate last night! Understand?"
Brown's outburst of fury silenced Geiger and Ratliff, who didn't dare utter a single word. Just as they were about to turn away and sit down to escape Brown's gaze, he continued yelling at them, "I said get back to the locker room! Get off the court!"
"Are you two just cowards, or damn idiots? Don't make me repeat myself! Get out! Now! Don't let me see either of you again, get out!"
After Brown unleashed another torrent of criticism, Geiger and Ratliff dared not utter a single word of nonsense. They slunk away with their tails between their legs, afraid that Brown would drag them down and give them a few more insults.
That's terrifying!
No wonder Brown's nickname is "Tyrant," he truly is a "tyrant on the court"!
After the timeout, the 76ers brought in Troy Hill and George Lynch. At least in terms of average rebounds, these two are not much different from the previous two. The main difference between them is their height.
However, although the 76ers lowered their altitude, their fighting power was significantly enhanced when they returned to the court!
Everyone fought harder than before, and the fighting was fiercer!
The intensity of both offense and defense is much higher than before.
It has to be said that Brown's insane outburst did have an effect! Of course, he also needs to have enough prestige to make the players afraid and motivate them to give their all.
If an inexperienced and unreputable coach did this, like Floyd of the Bulls, the players wouldn't even bother playing hard. It would be a miracle if Floyd's players didn't actually strangle him like Sprewell did.
In short, Brown's outburst finally ignited the 76ers' fighting spirit. In the remainder of the second quarter, they not only withstood the Pacers' small-ball lineup's onslaught but even narrowed the score gap slightly!
63: 66!
The Pacers led by only 3 points at halftime!
In the first half, Lin Tian had already scored 29 points, 7 assists, 6 rebounds and 3 steals. It looked like he was about to get another triple-double!
Besides Lin Tian, Carter scored 7 points, Mullin 6 points, Schmitz 5 points, and Christie 4 points!
Iverson scored even more points than Lin Tian, racking up 31 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, and 1 steal in the first half alone. Apart from him, although the 76ers had 7 players who scored, none of them scored more than 6 points!
Both teams played in a style that suited their own game!
At halftime, Bird sat casually on the table in the middle of the locker room, a spot that had long been his favorite. He said nonchalantly, "We played well in the first half. Just keep it up. Let Iverson keep attacking!"
"Based on past game data analysis, Iverson's stamina plateau usually occurs around the 8-minute mark of the third quarter. At that point, he becomes extremely fatigued and easily gets impatient and impulsive!" Lin!
"You always make me the bad guy." Lin Tian shrugged helplessly. "I know what to do! Let him attack in the first half, then provoke him and attack him in the second half, make him lose his temper and start fighting recklessly!"
Bird nodded and said, "Then it's settled! Our goal for the third quarter is to lead by 15 points!"
In the 76ers' locker room, as soon as Brown walked in, he unleashed another torrent of furious criticism and rant at everyone, saying they weren't working hard enough, that they were idiots, and that they were playing like expired spaghetti!
The two most miserable among them were undoubtedly Geiger and Ratliff, who were hiding in a corner, trembling and afraid to make a sound.
Brown had at least 70% of his firepower aimed at these two guys, leaving them trembling and too afraid to utter a single word.
After venting his frustration, Brown looked at Geiger and Ratliff and said, "I'm giving you two softies one more chance! You'll start in the third quarter. If you still can't play well, if you still play like a pile of crap, then you can go straight back to Philadelphia! No, you can go straight back to Philadelphia, pack your bags, and get ready to get out!"
"This team doesn't need trash and idiots like you who drag the team down!"
Although Bird and Brown both share the same name, Larry, their coaching styles and personalities are absolutely diametrically opposed!
Brown is a strict coach who doesn't tolerate any questioning or threats to his authority. He is a monarch, a tyrant, and the absolute ruler of the team! He will never be friends with the players; at most, he will be an extremely strict father figure.
As for Bird, he not only loved to talk trash, but he was also good at handling interpersonal relationships. He got along well with everyone on the team and was friends with everyone. He would even participate in the players' parties and gatherings. When he was in a good mood, he would also make all sorts of silly jokes with the players.
Neither of these two styles is right or wrong, but both definitely require sufficient prestige and personal charisma to support them! Otherwise, the team will definitely get out of control! Either the players will completely disregard the head coach and ignore his demands, or the whole team will rebel, force the team to shut down, and demand the coach's dismissal.
But if players were to choose, aside from a very few freaks like Kobe and Jordan, most other players would probably choose Bird!
As for who the management will choose...
Yeah, they'll probably choose the cheaper one.
When the third quarter began, both teams switched halves and continued playing with the same starting lineups from the first half.
The Pacers had possession of the ball on the first possession.
Lin Tian certainly wouldn't blindly follow Bird's advice and wait until 7-8 minutes into the third quarter before making his move.
From the very first possession of the second half, Lin Tian was ready to target Iverson!
The first half, the initial testing and entertainment phase, is over!
After arriving at the frontcourt, Lin Tian grinned mischievously, turned to the side, used his back and shoulder to block Iverson, and then dribbled the ball towards the inside!
"Kid, had a blast in the first half, huh? Now it's my turn in the second half! Uncle's going to start posting up!"
"FUXX! You think I'm afraid of you just because you're backing down?" Iverson cursed angrily, but no matter how loudly he cursed, he couldn't withstand Lin Tian's back-down attack.
There are no techniques, no footwork, no changes in rhythm, and of course, no turning forward or backward, no stepping up or down, and no dreamlike footwork.
It's pure dominance in strength and height!
"Bang! Bang! Bang!"
With a few powerful thrusts, Lin Tian moved from outside the three-point line to a position close to the three-second zone. Then, before Ratliff could help defend, Lin Tian made a back turn and released the ball, which flew out and accurately fell into the basket!
"Whoosh!"
After scoring, Lin Tian suddenly bent down, placed his palm flat about 10 centimeters from the ground, compared the distance, and then looked up at Iverson with a disdainful expression.
Although he didn't say a word, Lin Tian's meaning was crystal clear!
You, Allen Iverson, that's all!
Iverson was so angry he felt like blood was about to spurt from his head!
Who is he? Allen Iverson! He was a star player in both basketball and football since high school, winning numerous MVP awards and being considered a future superstar in either sport!
In particular, although Iverson looks thin and small, and is like a hobbit in the NBA where giants abound, his strength has never been weak!
With a bench press exceeding that of more than half of the league's big men, and powerful upper and lower body strength, Iverson, despite his short stature, wasn't actually afraid of post-up plays from players in his position!
He's fast and strong! Guys like Kidd and Payton have all suffered when backing down Iverson because they underestimated his strength.
But Lin Tian's back-to-the-basket game is completely different!
If Lin Tian had used skill, footwork, or shooting to execute the post-up move, Iverson wouldn't have been so angry.
But Lin Tian simply used his height and strength to bully him, using his sheer size to brute force his way in! In particular, Iverson had watched countless Lin Tian games for this series, and he knew very well that Lin Tian's back-to-the-basket skills were absolutely top-tier among all perimeter players!
Then, this guy didn't use any skill, he just used his body to smash me?
Iverson felt humiliated; he felt looked down upon by Lin Tian! He was furious!
Iverson's anger resulted in... him attacking the court himself!
In the next 76ers offensive possession, Iverson drove hard against Lin Tian with the ball, disregarding everything else! But what he didn't notice was that Lin Tian's defensive pressure and the level and scale of his physical confrontation had suddenly increased to a whole new level!
He stood firmly in front of Iverson, giving him physical contact and making it very difficult for Iverson to break through!
After Iverson finally made it to the edge of the three-second zone, he originally intended to raise his hand to make a fake shot to shake off Lin Tian before shooting. However, Lin Tian not only didn't fall for it, but instead took a step forward, almost touching Iverson, making it difficult for him to exert force.
It also blocked all of Iverson's shooting space, and its main feature was to cover the sky!
"Defend your own man! Don't leave anyone open! Iverson will definitely pass the ball, he can't score!" At this moment, Lin Tian delivered the fatal blow to Iverson!
Can't beat me? I can't beat you?
Iverson was just looking for a passing opportunity, but after hearing Lin Tian's words, his eyes suddenly changed, and then he suddenly exerted force, his elbow and shoulder simultaneously slamming towards Lin Tian.
"Snapped!"
After a muffled thud, Lin Tian let out a scream, as if he had been hit by a galloping giraffe, and flew backward!
Iverson was left standing there, elbows raised and shoulders slumped, looking completely bewildered and unsure of what to do.
What's going on here?
Am I really that strong?
"Offensive foul!" The referee then gave the answer, which Iverson quickly realized.
be cheated!
FUXX!
After being called for an offensive foul, Iverson didn't say much, but stared intently at Lin Tian, who was getting up from the ground, and said, "So you're starting to use these underhanded tactics? You don't have the guts to face me one-on-one, do you? You're admitting defeat, aren't you, Lin! You coward!"
"I'm going head-to-head with you, Allen," Lin Tian said with a grin. "What I'm using right now is my best and most powerful move! What, a head-to-head duel, and I can't use my best stuff? Then don't bother with your breakthrough either, how about we compare three-pointers?"
Lin Tian's single sentence silenced Iverson.
What can he do?
Although Lin Tian's words were shameless, they were indeed flawless!
Seeing that Iverson stopped talking, Lin Tian smiled. Then, this time, the moment Iverson pressed against him and started to defend, he turned around and backed Iverson with his butt. He started to back down and advance from outside his own three-point line!
"He learned it from me! Lin definitely secretly learned this move from me!" Barkley was incredibly excited today, as if he himself was the one backing down Iverson. He laughed loudly, "Lin, really, if you wanted to learn, you could have told me sooner! I would have definitely taught him! Why learn it secretly?"
"Look, the direction and angle of his buttocks are all wrong these days. If he could learn properly from me, Iverson would be lying on the ground by now!"
"Come on, Charles," Kenny couldn't help but say. "Even if Lin were to learn, he'd learn from Michael! Look at Lin's form, and then look at your own! How dare you compare the two of you? Lin plays with his left toes, and it looks 10 times cooler than yours, okay?"
Have some shame!
Whether Lin Tian learns from Barkley or Jordan is not important. What is important is that when he is focused on backing down his opponent, with his current weight and strength, he can easily dominate Iverson!
Iverson considered trying to steal the ball, but he was significantly inferior to Lin Tian in height, wingspan, and strength. Against other players, Iverson could have used his agility and speed to get around them or steal the ball.
But what about Lin Tian?
Iverson thought Lin Tian might be even faster and more agile than him! Trying to flank him would be suicide!
Iverson simply couldn't stop Lin Tian's post-up moves!
In the first three minutes of the third quarter, Lin Tian posted up Iverson five times in a row, converting four of them. Brown finally couldn't stand it anymore and stood up, yelling, "George, switch! You guard Lin! Free Allen!"
"You think you can just switch like that?" Lin Tian happened to be dribbling past Brown at that moment. He wasn't afraid of this court tyrant at all and said directly, "I'm not switching!"
As soon as Lin Tian finished speaking, he suddenly accelerated and charged towards the inside, chasing after Iverson who hadn't had time to leave!
Iverson had no choice; he couldn't just run away and completely ignore Lin Tian, could he?
He was once again pushed into the paint by Lin Tian, who then made a sideways hook shot, scoring his fifth basket of the third quarter and his tenth point of the second half!
After scoring that basket, Lin Tian passed Brown again on his way back on defense, reached out and patted Brown's butt, saying, "I told you I wasn't going to switch, what can you do about it?"
"Fuck you!" Brown had been coaching for decades; when had he ever seen a bastard like Lin Tian? He glared at Lin Tian and said, "You're asking for it!"
"Then bring it on! Let George Lynch guard me, and see who's courting death!"
After Lin Tian finished speaking, he suddenly turned around and rushed towards Iverson, once again standing in front of Iverson.
This time, Iverson kept running off the ball, looking for space to receive the ball. After circling the court at least twice, Iverson finally got the ball with the help of Ratliff's screen. But the moment he got the ball, Davis left Ratliff and rushed towards Iverson!
In the blink of an eye, Lin Tian had already broken through the screen and stood in front of Iverson with Davis, blocking his path to break through!
With no other option, Iverson could only dribble backwards to try and create space, but as soon as he took a step back, Christie rushed up from behind, and the Pacers actually surrounded Iverson with three players!
Iverson immediately jumped, trying to find a passer, but three guys taller and stronger than him rushed over at the same time. Before Iverson could even pass the ball, Lin Tian slapped it away and intercepted it!
Then Lin Tian deftly poked the ball, and it immediately flew behind Iverson. Christie made a perfectly timed sidestep to block Iverson's pursuit route, providing a screen for Lin Tian and making it impossible for Iverson to chase him.
Lin Tian unleashed his full speed, sprinting towards the front of the field!
Then he leaped up and, with a fierce one-handed tomahawk swing, slammed the ball into the basket!
After scoring, Lin Tian landed gracefully, then spread his arms and made a flying motion along the sideline of the field. After gliding all the way to Brown's side, Lin Tian once again reached out his wicked hand.
"Snapped!"
A renowned coach was assaulted twice in 20 seconds, his buttocks were grabbed twice!
"Where's George Lynch? Why isn't he guarding me?!"
Lin Tian placed his other hand in front of his eyes as if looking into the distance, glancing back and forth across the court, trying to find Lin Qi.
Brown's face was practically contorted with rage; he'd been a coach his whole life and had never been harassed like this before!
However, the referee simply ignored Lin Tian's "butt-grabbing" and treated it as a friendly joke between the two, refusing to call a technical foul.
Turning back, Snow finally redeemed himself by hitting a three-pointer, stopping the bleeding for the 76ers.
"George! George! Lin! Go guard Lin! You fucking go guard Lin!" Brown was afraid that Lin Tian would run away again, so he shouted frantically on the sidelines, urging Lin Qi to catch up with Lin Tian.
"No need to rush, he can catch up." Lin Tian seemed determined to go head-to-head with Brown tonight, and actually stood outside the three-point line, waiting for the 76ers to quickly get into position and take their defensive stance.
Then Lin Tian looked at Lin Qi in front of him and smiled, "Ready?"
