Dragon Clan, First Word of Power: Gojo Satoru

Chapter 45 The Bad Woman Machima

Chapter 45 The Bad Woman Machima

In front of the large screen in Kassel, Su An stared in shock, his mouth agape.

A striking red-haired woman in a smart suit had appeared beside Gojo Satoru at some point.

The woman had red hair in a ponytail, and her eyes were indifferent beneath the strands of hair.

Those were eyes even more beautiful than golden pupils, golden in color, with dozens of fine circles hidden in the depths of their eyes, as lustrous as amber.

She was very beautiful, but her demeanor was frighteningly indifferent, and her lips betrayed no emotion.

Instead of explaining the meaning of her existence, she asked:

"What do you think domination is?"

"Huh?"

The woman continued talking to herself.

In a society or organization, domination usually refers to an individual or group of people having decisive control over others or things.

In psychology, dominance refers to a person's significant influence on the emotions or behaviors of others in interpersonal relationships.

In the ecosystems where you humans live, predators are in a position of dominance relative to prey; wolves eat sheep, sheep eat grass, and dominance is everywhere.

Su An keenly noticed the key phrase, "You mean you humans? You're not human?"

The woman nodded, her red braid bouncing as she moved her neck.

"Hello, I am the Demon Lord Makima. I look forward to working with you in the days to come."

She deftly extended her hand to shake hands with Su An, who looked down and saw that the woman was wearing gloves.

The gloves were jet black, and the sheen of the leather added a touch of mystery to the woman.

"My name is Su An."

Su An also extended his hand to shake hands, but his hand went through his glove.

Gojo Satoru laughed heartily: "So the new girl was also a phantom! Great, another colleague."

Machima looked at her hands curiously, a smile of great interest spreading across her face.

The woman's moist lips curved into a smile.

"Am I a phantom? Interesting..."

She leaned against the wall, her red hair falling down, making her look beautiful and alluring.

The eyes, reflecting the photograph of the bronze dome, shone with a curious light.

"What's in there?"

Su An thought for a moment about how to explain the World Pavilion to this newcomer, Phantom, and after a few seconds of pause, blurted out, "That's a monster spawner."

"Oh?" Makima's eyes flashed with a dangerous light. "A monster spawner? Do the monsters inside have the power to control you?"

She raised her head, revealing her slender neck, and carefully observed the images on the screen.

Gojo Satoru said to Su An, "This woman is very strong."

Su An had expected this; no matter how you looked at it, this woman's aura suggested she was an absurdly powerful monster.

Another idiot.

Great, there's a new cheat!

Su An thought to himself silently.

Mans is dancing his favorite cha-cha-cha in the front cabin, with Selma as his partner, to the music of Michael Jackson's Beat It.

This was absolutely not the kind of music suitable for dancing the cha-cha, but there was nothing he could do. The captain was so proud of his heroic feat of turning the tide that he was too excited to speak.

Only the old song Beatit can express the feelings of this uncle at this moment, and all he knows is how to dance the cha-cha.

Selma is still in her graduate internship and has several credits to complete, including one of Mans's classes. She's already secured a "guaranteed pass" promise from Mans while he's in a good mood…

In fact, everyone wanted to stand up and sing and dance, if it weren't for the fact that they still needed to do their best to stabilize this ship that was drifting in the turbulent river waves.

"That's the incredible comeback I was talking about! The comeback in the last minute!" Mance boasted to Selma, a cigar dangling from his lips. "It's like a three-pointer in the last second of the fourth quarter in basketball, like a break of serve in the third set of tennis!" He glanced at the clock on the bulkhead. "My good students are coming back..."

He suddenly froze, his steps faltering, and he nearly stumbled, only managing to steady himself by gripping the rudder tightly. Selma was still dancing when she glanced at Mans's expression, a chill running down her spine. She didn't understand what had happened, but Mans's face had suddenly turned deathly pale.

As the music of [Beatit] played, Mans suddenly pushed open the door and rushed out, standing in the raging storm, staring intently at the turbulent water.

"Captain?" Selma chased after him, her voice trembling.

"They escaped from below the Bronze City. They can escape from the Bronze City, but they won't have time to surface," Mance's face twitched in pain. "We miscalculated; they don't have enough oxygen!"

Suan's face was projected onto the center console of the Moniach, his eyes turning into an amber-yellow hue.

"There's enough oxygen," he said with absolute certainty.

Underwater at the Three Gorges, Ye Sheng broke the spell and released all the snakes.

With his last remaining strength, he gripped Aki's hand tightly.

But Aki didn't move. She did something strange: she raised her flashlight and shone it into her helmet so that Ye Sheng could see her face clearly.

Her lips were moving, but Ye Sheng couldn't hear her voice, and the signal line between them was severed at the moment of impact.

"It's too late, we don't have enough oxygen." Aki's lips moved very clearly.

Ye Sheng glanced at the remaining oxygen; it was about three minutes. Both he and Aki were capable of holding their breath underwater for five minutes, and eight minutes of swimming above water would be enough.

"That's enough," he mouthed to Aki.

"It's not enough." Aki shook her head, tears slowly streaming down her cheeks. "Let's stay here. I want to watch over you. We don't have much time left..."

"No." Ye Sheng cut off her lips simply and decisively. He smirked, and the corner of his mouth once again revealed that smile that made people forget their troubles. It reminded Aki of the time when Ye Sheng patted her butt in the sunlight through the French windows, "Idiot, trust me, that's enough!" He hugged Aki's strong and slender body tightly.

"Hey, actually my legs aren't short at all!" he said to himself, then grabbed Aki's hand and plunged into the water. Whirlpools were forming in the water, indicating that there was a gap opening directly below.

Aki realized that Ye Sheng was going to sacrifice his oxygen to save her life.

"Ye Sheng..."

Their conversation was interrupted by the voice of Su An, an S-level student, whose voice had become gentle and even indifferent.

"Ye Shengya, what do you think domination is?"

Ye Sheng continued swimming underwater without daring to stop for even a moment, when he suddenly heard Su An's voice.

He didn't understand what Su An was saying; he seemed like a completely different person.

"Domination refers to the process and behavior by which a dominating subject exerts influence on a dominating object according to given conditions and goals."

Domination is everywhere; the strong dominate the weak, the victors dominate the vanquished, the predator dominates the prey, and carbon-based life forms dominate the inorganic matter of the world.

Ye Sheng asked in confusion, "What do you mean?"

Immediately afterwards, he heard something that shocked him on the channel.

Su An said, "When the power of domination is strong enough, why can't oxygen be dominated?"
