Chapter 294 Return to the Black House

Chapter 294 Return to the Black House

Standing on the other side of the lake, Kreacher saw the lake surface becoming turbulent. A dazzling red light appeared again, and he couldn't help but worry about Sirius and Aphrodite.

"Master Regulus..." Tears as big as beans slowly flowed out of his eyes and dripped onto the rocks under his feet.

Sirius was shaking all over, and he staggered forward two steps, his eyes carefully studying the fabric on his slender wrist.

"Re, Regulus..." he muttered.

With a slight bang, the young corpse wearing a black woolen Abby tight jacket with gold patterns was slowly placed on the shore.

The pattern of the Black family was outlined in gold thread, and the wet black hair stuck to the face, covering most of the pale face.

Sirius stumbled and fell on Regulus, his eyes red and tears welling up in his eyes.

The other Inferi were dazzled by the dazzling light and were thrown back into the water like dumplings.

Sirius hadn't said a word since he found Regulus, just holding his brother and mumbling to himself.

"We should go back."

Afro waited for a while before speaking.

Sirius wanted to carry Regulus onto the boat, but another force seemed to stop him.

Helplessly, Sirius had to use a levitation spell to suspend Regulus behind them and float all the way back to the shore.

When Kreacher saw Regulus's body, he suddenly let out a sharp cry. Huge bubbles of snot came out of his pig-like nostrils.

"Master... Kreacher is wrong..."

"Kreacher, let's go back first."

Avro turned around and helped Sirius, and as soon as they got ashore, the boat sank into the water and the chain disappeared into the darkness.

Kreacher held tightly onto the hem of Regulus's clothes, while Avro and Sirius put their hands on his shoulders.

After the familiar squeezing feeling passed, Afro opened his eyes and they returned to the bedroom.

She shook her dizzy head and seemed to see the corpse crawling out from under the bed again.

Afro blinked, but found nothing moving.

"We did it!" She pulled out the locket from her robe and glanced at Regulus, who was already lying on the bed.

Sirius staggered against her, his face paler than ever.

Just as Afro was about to speak, Ron's excited voice came from downstairs.

"I knew it!" Ron punched the air and shouted, "You can always get away!"

Afro leaned half of her body out from the railing of the second-floor platform. "They will definitely declare you not guilty."

Harry looked up at her, smiling shyly as if it were the first time they met.

Molly was wiping her tears with her apron, and Fred and George and Ginny were doing a kind of dance.

He sang over and over again: "He's fine..."

"That's enough, be quiet." Mr. Weasley smiled, "Listen, Sirius..."

It occurred to him that Sirius was not among the celebrations.

"Where's Sirius?"

Mr. Weasley was puzzled as to why Sirius, as Harry's godfather, would be absent from such an important occasion.

Afro briefly described what happened after they left.

Mr. Weasley lowered his head tragically, and whispered with a sour nose: "We always thought that Regulus was killed by a mysterious person because of some mission..."

It was the first time Harry heard that Sirius had a younger brother. He turned his head to look at the girl, and Afro quietly pointed to a bedroom on the second floor.

Harry opened the door that Aphrodite had pointed out to him, and the room was empty.

The door of the bedroom next door was wide open. He thought for a while and then walked over there.
