Chapter 118 Daily Life at the New Semester
Chapter 118 Daily Life at the New Semester
In third grade, there were a few more elective courses, but I chose all of them.
The main reason is that I have completed the courses from grades 1 to 7 on my own, so all I need to do is get the professors to waive my assignments and papers again.
After finishing breakfast, I went to the classroom where I was to have class and took out my textbook to study diligently.
Just as I was engrossed in reading, little wizards began to appear in the Great Hall to prepare for breakfast.
"Oh ho~ We're having dumplings today." Fred had just sat down when he saw Mumu bring him a bowl of dumplings.
"That's great." George can have the same bowl of dumplings too.
"Hurry up and eat, can't food shut you up?" Percy had already picked up his spoon and was blowing on it as he ate.
"Ayers should have finished eating and be in the classroom by now." Oliver was right; if he didn't see me in the hall or auditorium in the morning, I had usually gone to the classroom.
“I’ve already finished eating, I’m leaving now.” Cedric walked over to the Gryffindor table at this moment. He had arrived at the Great Hall early this morning and had already finished breakfast.
With food in their mouths, none of the people eating breakfast could respond to Cedric.
Cedric smiled and left. He wasn't in the same grade as them, and they took different classes.
“Percy Weasley, may I ask why your breakfast is different from ours?” Hermione Gene Granger, sitting next to Percy, looked curiously at the breakfast laid out in front of her and the dumplings that Percy and the others were eating.
“Our breakfasts are all prepared by Ayers, and they’re different every day,” Fred said proudly, as if he were the one who made them every day.
“Ayers loves Eastern food, and he prepares our breakfast every day.” George said with pride, taking another spoonful into his mouth.
"For the past two years, we've been eating differently from everyone else." Oliver's statement sounds a bit like Versailles.
"Oh." Hermione Gene Granger knew she wasn't going to have that treat; with such a delicious breakfast, she felt like she wasn't tasting anything anymore.
"You guys should hurry up and eat, we'll need to find a classroom later, don't be late." Fred said while eating dumplings, his words barely audible.
"Your first class seems to be Professor McGonagall's. Hurry up and finish eating so you can find your classroom." George also ate quickly.
“Here’s a piece of advice: never touch that cat standing on the podium,” Percy advised Hermione Gene Granger and the others.
After most of the young wizards finished breakfast, they headed to their respective classrooms.
Harry and Ron ran down the corridor in disheveled clothes, and when they got to the classroom, a classic scene unfolded.
When Harry and Ron rushed to Professor McGonagall's classroom, they were late.
The cat crouching on the podium leaped and transformed into Professor McGonagall in human form.
Hermione Gene Granger, who was reading a book in preparation for class, was taken aback. No wonder Prefect Percy had given her that advice.
“Mr. Potter, Mr. Weasley, you are late.” Professor McGonagall’s voice was deep and stern.
Harry and Ron both lowered their heads, not daring to look Professor McGonagall in the eye.
“I expect you to give me a reasonable explanation,” Professor McGonagall continued.
Harry looked up at Professor McGonagall and said, "Professor, we couldn't find the classroom, that's why we're late."
“Really? How about next time I turn either Mr. Potter or Mr. Weasley into a stopwatch, or a map, so you can find your classroom and avoid getting lost?” Professor McGonagall said seriously.
Harry and Ron exchanged a glance, then said together, "We are so sorry, Professor McGonagall."
"Go back to your seats and start class." Today is the first class for the first-year students, and Professor McGonagall isn't deducting points from them. The freshmen need some time to get used to it.
The first day of third grade was really easy for me.
"Ayers, you're going to take exams from your teachers again." I was just strolling leisurely down the corridor when Cedric caught me.
"Hmm, wanna come together?" To enjoy the bliss of not having to do homework, of course, we need to solve this problem first.
“I’m out of the question, I don’t have your ability,” Cedric said to me with a smile.
"Alright, I'll be going now." I glanced around, not seeing any other little wizards, and gave Cedric a kiss on the cheek.
On the first day of school, every first-year student could see an upperclassman looking for the professor who had just finished their class.
Then they entered the classroom chatting and laughing, and after a while, the senior student could be seen leaving with a smile, and the professor watched him leave with a satisfied look on his face.
"Professor, we're curious, what was that senior student doing here?" a first-year student from Eagle School asked the still excited professor.
"That guy just now, he's Ayers Hall, a third-year student. He's here to take the exam and get a homework exemption," the professor explained to the first-year students.
"Professor, can we pass the exam and be exempt from homework?" The first-year student from Eagle School was also eager to try it out when he heard that homework could be exempted.
“I don’t think you’ll pass this exam. Other students have tried, but only Ayers Hall passed. He’s an exception.” The professor put away his books and my exam paper.
Now, professors of each subject are independently assigning a few exam papers that don't require homework, and it seems like this was all my fault.
Hermione Gene Granger, who was standing nearby, also heard about this good thing and wanted to try it out. So in the afternoon, in addition to me going to see the professors of each subject, little Hermione also went to see the professors to do the test papers.
When I finally came out of Professor Quirrell's office, I ran into Hermione Gene Granger.
Thankfully, Riddle doesn't have any Horcruxes now, otherwise I'd stink to death coming out of Kino's room, covered in the smell of garlic!
"Hello, senior Ayers, may I ask how you managed to pass those exams on your first try?" Hermione Gene Granger had tried several professors' exams, but the results were unsatisfactory; there were many questions she couldn't answer.
"Because I've read a lot of books." This really isn't Versailles; I've read every single book in Hogwarts.
"I think I've read a lot of books, so why is there still so much I don't know how to do?" Hermione Gene Granger was a little confused.
"Hermione, have you ever been to the Hogwarts library?" I didn't answer her question directly; I just asked her if she had ever been to the library.
“I’ve been there, and there are so many books.” Hermione Gene Granger had been there.
"I've read all the books there once," I said casually.
